All of our Scottish Winter Climbing Courses are available for single or multiple days, any time of the week and the length of the course will vary depending on your needs. We offer a range of Scottish Winter Climbing Courses, from Introductory courses to advanced, so you can pick the right course for you.
Our Introduction to Winter Climbing Course is designed for people who have no winter climbing experience, maybe you're a rock climber who wants to swing ice axes for the first time or you've spent many a time walking under the crags wondering what it would be like. We'll look at movement, route choice, rope work and placing traditional and winter gear, our time will be spent on routes between grade I and III. Max ratio 1:2.
This Scottish Winter Climbing Improvers Course is for those who already have experience of Winter Climbing and would like to broaden their knowledge, improve on their skills base or improve their confidence to help them achieve their climbing goals. We will review your existing skills and build on the areas that will help you go further. During this course we will ideally work on grade III to V routes. Max ratio 1:2.
