Introduction to Rock Climbing Course

Many climber now a days learn how to climb at one of the many indoor climbing walls or centres dotted around the UK. These are great places to improve your strength and climbing movement but many people struggle to transition into the outdoors due to the lack of technical knowledge. Rock Climbing in the outdoors is by far the best climbing there is in our opinion, surrounded by natures beauty and faced with natural challenges.

These Introduction to Rock Climbing courses are aimed at building on your indoor climbing skills and providing you with the skills necessary to climb outdoors. You may just be looking to Sport climb outdoors on bolts or looking to build further and Top rope outdoors or even become a trad climber. All of these styles of climbing are very popular in the UK and we can build a plan up that will help you achieve your goal.

The content and length of the course will depend in your current level and where you would like to progress to and the cost per day starts at £300 with a maximum ratio of 1:2 on each course.

• Guidebook interpretation
• Route selection
• Introduced to and selecting rock climbing gear/equipment
• Tying into a range of anchors
• Abseiling
• Taking gear out
• Becoming a competent 'second'

Each course is based around the individual needs of those attending so the content may change from course to course.
