Castle Ridge Guides | Elite Guides

Castle Ridge on Ben Nevis is the shortest Ridge of the Ben Nevis Ridges but it packs a punch. Book your Castle Ridge Guide to climb this fantastic and exposed ridge. Castle Ridge has two distinct crux's, the first is a steep and tricky corner, often wet but with loads of great holds. The second crux is the memorable one, an exposed traverse out to a flake chimney with nothing but air beneath your feet.

The rest of the route has some fantastic scrambling and great views across to Ledge Route and less well travelled areas of the North Face of Ben Nevis. Castle Ridge is a grade 3 scramble, but it is just as hard as Tower Ridge and offers a great alternative or as another adventure if you have already climbed Tower Ridge. Round the day off with a descent of Ledge Route and it is a full on day with lots of adventure and scrambling.
