A traverse of the Cuillin ridge on the Isle of Skye is considered to be one of the greatest routes in the country. 12km end to end and every bit of it requires your full concentration, usually done over a two day period with an overnight bivy on the ridge, this is a big challange. People thinking about a traverse should be experience hill walkers and scramblers with a high level of fitness, previous experience of Skye is a big bonus. A guide for a Cuillin traverse does not guarantee your success, it is up to you to be as fit and capable has you can so as to improve your chances.
Our traverse courses are a minimum of three days with the two best days being used if the weather is right for a traverse. If a traverse is not possible you will have three full days out instead. The weather on Skye like any where on the west coast of Scotland is changable and the more time you can put a side for your traverse the higher chance of a weather window.
Below is a list of prices for our traverse courses. If a traverse happens one day of your course will be a rest day. e.g a 3 day course will just become a 2 day traverse if the forecast is appropriate.
Please get in touch to discuss your course, if you have any questions or would like some advice.
