Our Introduction to Winter Mountaineering Course is ideal for people looking to tackle their first Scottish winter routes. If you are a winter walker or summer rock climber looking to tackle some of Scotland's classic ridges and mountaineering routes, such as Ledge Route on Ben Nevis and the Aonach Eagach in Glencoe, then this would be the ideal course for you.
Your time will be spent covering efficient movement over snow and rock and getting into some steeper terrain. Looking at placing protection to keep you and your partner safe, abseiling and the use and construction of Snow anchors.
The Introduction to Winter Mountaineering Course is run on a maximum ratio of 1:2 with prices starting at £300 for bespoke bookings. We do offer a number of Introduction to mountaineering courses through the winter, please see the dates below.
